The Role

Alveo (formerly known as Asset Control) has a very strong reputation within financial data management and supports a global client base of the world’s leading financial institutions.

Currently we are looking for a  French Speaking Junior Consultant. In this position you will work with our core team of professional, managed service and Alveo partners around the world to ensure high-quality implementations of various projects. You are responsible for specific work packages under guidance of a senior member of the team.

After initial onboarding as a Junior Consultant, you should be capable of having a conversation with the client on specific details of the work packages they are working on.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for:

Implementation of Alveo products at our customer site

  • Installing, configuring, and delivering the Alveo products according to acceptance criteria
  • Customizing product configurations to meet customer requirements
  • Working in a project-based manner (according to project plans, deadlines, etc.)

Customer advice

  • Advise the customer about the uses of the Alveo products
  • Establish and maintain customer relations

Customer support

  • Answer questions asked by the customer
  • Maintain the Alveo products at customer site via Managed services delivery
  • Add functionality

Knowledge transfer

  • Detail activities in written reports to management

Knowledge and Experience

    We are looking for someone who has knowledge and technical experience in the following areas:

General knowledge

  • Experience working in project environments
  • Basic knowledge of investment and financial instruments, including different asset classes, data types, trading and operational processes
  • Knowledge of financial data sources, such as Bloomberg, Reuters, IDC, S&P
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in financial services. Experience of Markit EDM, Goldensource or other EDM platforms would be an advantage

Technical knowledge

  • Knowledge of Unix and/or Linux, and Windows operating systems
  • Familiar with Shell programming, AWK and Perl
  • Experience with RDBMS environments, preferably Oracle and/or Sybase
  • Knowledge of structured programming languages: C/C++, Java

Qualifications and Training

For this position you require:

  • University degree in a related discipline (i.e. Computer science, Mathematics)
  • Being fluent in French and English, both verbal and written
