We are looking for a Pre-Sales Consultant to showcase Alveo’s leading products and solutions through ongoing and project related sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The Pre-Sales Consultant will work closely with their Sales colleagues to support the sales process by engaging directly with clients, prospects and partners.  Key activities include delivering presentations and product demonstrations, answering product and technical questions and responding to RFI’s and RFPs. You will also work closely with the Product Management team to share client feedback and help determine future product roadmap and deliverables.  In summary:

  • Deliver presentations, demonstrations and workshops showcasing Alveo solutions
  • Present Alveo’s product and data model methodology to clients, prospects and partners
  • Serve as a Alveo product expert, taking a leading role in supporting the sales organization
  • Deliver presentations, demonstrations and workshops showcasing Alveo solutions
  • Act as pre-sales liaison with other Alveo teams including Managed Services and Professional Services
  • Liaise with Product Management to ensure client involvement in product design
  • Help develop use case demonstrations and solutions based on client workflow and specific use cases

Experience

We are looking for someone who has the following experience and knowledge:

  • 3+ years of experience in pre-sales roles in selling financial services software or data products to the sell and buy side
  • Experience of requirements gathering, building and delivering a demonstration to address these requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of the business focussed data management challenges faced by Alveo’s clients
  • Knowledge of the data management vendor space and their solutions
  • Knowledge of front, middle and back-office processes (including portfolio management, risk management, reporting, and regulation)
  • Knowledge of roles and players in the financial markets
  • Knowledge of financial data types (security master, price data, corporate actions, derived data, etc.)
  • Knowledge of complex financial instruments
  • Experience with data vendors (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.)
  • Knowledge of database concepts
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Solaris is preferred
  • Experience with some scripting languages (e.g. Shell, VBA) is preferred
  • Experience with open-source programming languages & tools like Python, Jupyter etc.

Qualifications and Training

For this position you require:

  • Degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentation experience to large and diverse audiences
