The Role

Alveo (formerly known as Asset Control) has a very strong reputation within financial data management and supports a global client base of the world’s leading financial institutions. Currently we are searching for a Senior Consultant who pro-actively advises customers about the business and technical uses of the Alveo product suite and ensures the successful deployment of the product at customer site. In this position you work alone or with the core team of developers and Alveo  partners around the world to ensure high-quality implementations of various projects for Alveo customers. You also manage other (customer) resources on team.


Key Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for:

The Implementation of Alveo products at customer site

  • You will participate in gathering customer functional and non-functional requirements
  • You will participate in Solution Design, Technical Design and Stories Definition and take ownership of specific topics
  • You will install, configure, and deliver the Alveo products according to acceptance criteria
  • You will customize product configurations to meet customer requirements
  • You will perform Code Design Review
  • You will participate in Unit and QA test case creation, review, and execution
  • You will support client-side testing (Integration, Acceptance)
  • You will work in a project-based manner (according to project plans, deadlines, etc.)

Customer advice

  • During the sales phase, you advise the customer about the uses of the Alveo products
  • You will execute demos and workshops
  • You will participate in Proof of Concepts
  • You will establish and maintain customer relations
  • You identify up-selling opportunities

Customer support

  • You pro-actively identify possible issues at customer site and advice customers how to solve those
  • You answer questions asked by the customer
  • You maintain the Alveo products at customer site
  • You add functionality.

Knowledge transfer & communications

  • You detail activities in written reports to management
  • You will coach and manage consultants and/or customer resources on Alveo specific topics
  • You act as point-of-contact for customer and involve senior Alveo managers as needed
  • You provide feedback to Alveo product team on product issues and enhancements

Technical Experience

We are looking for someone who has (technical) experience with:


  • Working in project environments
  • Knowledge of investment and financial instruments, including different asset classes, data types, trading and operational processes
  • Knowledge of financial data sources, such as Bloomberg, Reuters, IDC, S&P
  • Previous work experience within a bank or similar company in the financial industry
  • Previous experience coaching junior team members or customer resources

Alveo Prime (formerly AC Plus)

  • At least 5 years’ experience with Alveo implementations or similar solutions
  • Experience with Unix and/or Linux, and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with Shell programming, AWK, SED and Perl
  • Experience with RDBMS environments, preferably Oracle and/or Sybase
  • Experience in working with Code Repositories/Version Software Control (GIT, Subversion) and Deployment tools
  • Knowledge of structured programming languages: C/C++, Java
  • Data modeling knowledge

Qualifications and Training

For this position you require:

  • University degree in a related discipline (i.e. Computer science, Mathematics)
  • Good command of English, both verbally and written
