Alveo, the leader in providing proven, high-performance systems for financial data management, announces the appointment of Mark Hermeling to the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) based in London.
As CTO, Hermeling will be responsible for the overall leadership of Research and Development at Alveo, working closely with Product Management and Customer Services. Hermeling will play a major role in the future of product development within the company and Alveo’s push into new technologies thanks to his extensive data management technology experience and knowledge of the financial services domain. Mark held senior positions at SunGard and Accenture as well as at different emerging fintech companies.
The appointment comes at a pivotal time for the company as it rolls out its newly launched cloud-deployed data analytics, exploration and processing platform, Alpha. Hermeling will spearhead Alveo’s further development into the full spectrum of data management, from ingestion and mastering to data exploration discovery and analytics, as the company explores new use cases in operations, valuation and risk data.
